Laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove cysts from the ovary while preserving as much healthy ovarian tissue as possible.

During the procedure, the surgeon makes several small incisions in the abdomen and inserts a laparoscope – a thin instrument equipped with a camera. This provides a clear view of the ovaries and other pelvic organs and allows the cyst to be removed using specialised surgical instruments.

Compared with traditional open surgery, laparoscopy generally involves smaller scars, less postoperative discomfort and a faster recovery. Depending on the individual case, the removed tissue may also be sent for laboratory examination.

Most patients can return to their usual daily activities relatively quickly, although recovery time depends on the extent of the procedure and individual health.
